The classic Adidas rugby boot has been reinvented with the release of the Adidas AdiPure Flanker Wide Fit SG Rugby Boot. Everything about this boot has been designed with the needs of rugby players taken into account. The extra wide fit on the upper has been made from a new Super League Leather which is a tougher leather to help provide more forefoot support for scrum play. A rugby boot engineered by the players and for the players, introducing the Adidas R15 II SG Rugby Boot. In order to completely revamp this rugby boot, from the previous R15 I model, Adidas have worked extensively with key players including the likes of Richie McCaw, Pierre Spies, Jerome Kaino, James Haskell and Brian O'Driscoll A natural look, light weight feel, high abrasion and waterproof features have all been made possible courtesy of Taurus leather being used on this boot. The same material as used on the Predator RX, Adidas have also cemented the leather in the forefoot to help prevent stretching and boot deformation. To further decrease the weight of this boot, a one-piece outsole has been introduced, without compromising its overall strength and comfort. Additionally a new stud has been utilised to reduce the weight of the boot by 46 grams, making it ideal for soft natural surfaces. Never overlooking an opportunity to produce a high quality boot, even the heel has been enhanced with a synthetic print to prevent slippage and further improve the overall fit. A fashionable white, black and blue colour way is completed by the trademark Adidas three stripes running down each side of the boot and a subtle R15 tag added into the leather.
